Bishop Eddie Long crowned as a king ‘not on the earth’? [VIDEO]

This is one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen done anywhere, at any time. I’m not even sure how to describe the “worship” taking place here.

I cannot attest to what Ralph Messer says about scrolls, seams, leaves, etc, but for one who claims to be a preacher of the New Covenant to be sent out by the Old Covenant is a little head scratching. As is the attempt to sing the Aaronic blessing. Well, as is the entire thing.

Surreal. I expect Avril Lavigne to play at the end of this SNL segment.

lol. Keep Holding On is probably what Long was singing.

I read this comment and couldn’t stop laughing. How’d they know that chair was sturdy enough? King Bishop Eddie ain’t no small man!

Was there anyone in that room thinking “this isn’t right?”

    • Marty Duren February 2, 2012 at 7:48 am

Man, that’s the question. No mass exodus?

Had I not seen it with my own eyes… unbelieveable. Personality cult worship at its best. Sad

      Jack-
That’s one of the reasons I went ahead a posted the video. You almost need to watch it to believe it.

Thanks Marty. I continue to be grieved and disgusted at the lack of discernment in the body of Christ. This is definitively “another gospel” (Galatians 1:6). Wake up New Birth and read your Bibles!

I think anyone still at Eddie Long’s church after all that has gone down there wouldn’t even blink at something like this.

I’m only a few minutes into the video, but does anyone else have a problem with the usage of the term ‘foreskin’ when he was taking the cover off the scroll? I’m just sayin’!

    • Marty Duren February 2, 2012 at 10:36 am

      Yeah, I wasn’t touching that. ;^)

      • Jason Sampler February 2, 2012 at 1:44 pm

Apparently it didn’t keep Messer from ‘touching it’ :)

Ralph Messer is using history (supposedly) to interpret Christ, rather than using Scripture to interpret history. Leave alone the strange kingship anointing, Messer’s got it backwards when it comes to the Scriptures.

    • Marty Duren February 2, 2012 at 1:45 pm

I’m gonna guess that isn’t the only place, too. “Birkenwald”?

  8. Bob Cleveland February 2, 2012 at 7:15 pm

If this were a couple thousand years ago, I think the church might expect a mention in the Book of the Revelation.

  9. Bintang Kejora February 3, 2012 at 12:46 am

Seems a lot like the “anointing” that Elephant Room 2 gave T.D Jakes.

    • Marty Duren February 3, 2012 at 4:52 am

Seriously? That’s not even close to the same thing.

“Old MacDonald” would be the more appropriate insult.

If i could “like” your comment, I would have. Too funny.
