They are back at it with this brilliantly filmed and visually compelling video for "The Writing's On The Wall." It's one optical illusion after another. Simply superb.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he lads comprising the group OK Go have made a name for themselves with quirky, innovative, complex music videos. They burst onto the scene with “the treadmill video” in 2009. 21 million views later, most people do not know the name of the song is “Here it Goes Again.”

Despite her Syfy-esque attire, Stone prevailed. Fallon excitedly called her the "clear, clear winner" declaring her lip sync the best one every performed.

[dropcap]P[/dropcap]erhaps you saw the wildly entertaining lip sync battle making the rounds between light night talk show host Jimmy Fallon and actress Emma Stone. If you have not seen it yet, you can watch it below.

Stuart Townend

The song and video for Stuart Townend's "Vagabonds" are most awesome. Check them out.

[dropcap]P[/dropcap]hilip Nation is a Teaching Pastor and Elder at my church, The Fellowship. Philip recently introduced me to a new song, Vagabonds, from the brilliant Stuart Townend. Townend is better known as the author of In Christ Alone, How Deep The Father’s Love For Us and other modern worship songs. Vagabonds seems to be in the same vein of awesome, as is this video for the song.

happy-hanukkah-candle-light

This video by The Maccabeats (a nice play on Maccabees) is every bit as good as Sandler's comic songs while enlightening viewers to the meaning of the celebration.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]his year Hanukkah started the night before Thanksgiving which is just a little unusual.

2013 brings “Thanksgivingukkah.” Normally Hanukkah is celebrated around the time of Christmas or slightly earlier. It sometimes even stretches past New Year’s Day. This year it happy-hanukkah-candle-lightbegins before Thanksgiving for the first time since 1888. This convergence between Thanksgiving and Hanukkah will not occur again for almost another 78,000 years.

78,000 years. You really must enjoy the mashup this time around.

Most American Christians know little of Hanukkah (also spelled “Chanukah,” “Chanuka,” “Chanukkah” and a few other renditions) apart from candles and Adam Sandler. Here’s a long explanation of the Jewish celebration. Here’s a summary.

This video by The Maccabeats (a nice play on Maccabees) is every bit as good as Sandler’s comic songs while enlightening viewers to the meaning of the celebration. Does not hurt that they use Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite” for the tune.

I'm not sure if every Virgin Mobile flight will feature this 5:00 video in place of "Please return your seats to the upright and locked positions," but they could.

[dropcap]H[/dropcap]ow do you capture the attention of the traveler who has seen it all? Make sure people pay attention to the pre-flight safety warnings?

I’m not sure if every Virgin America flight will feature this 5:00 video in place of “Please return your seats to the upright and locked positions,” but they could.

Virgin “enlisted the help of Virgin Produced, Director Jon M. Chu, Choreographers Jamal Sims and Christopher Scott, Composer/Producer Jean-yves “Jeeve” Ducornet, Virgin America teammates, and dance stars like Todrick Hall and Madd Chadd to give our safety video a new song and dance — literally. From the exit doors to the oxygen masks, no seat belt was left unbuckled.”

My favorite parts were the gal trying to buckle her seatbelt and Little Man. Yours?

We've lost our grasp on the severity of sin and have forgotten the offense it is to God. As a result we have mistaken the meaning of "innocence" before God.

[dropcap]L[/dropcap]ast Sunday I had the honor to preach at both campuses of The Fellowship. My friend Philip Nation, the teaching pastor at The Fellowship, was out of the country ministering at a seminary in Ukraine.

(Our mutual friend, Matt Capps, was asked to speak at one campus and I at the other, but Matt had to attend to a family emergency. I got the double blessing. Matt owes me lunch.)

Philip asked me to address the subject “What Happens to People Who Do Not Hear the Gospel?” I think this is one of–if not the–toughest question inside the church. We’ve lost our grasp on the severity of sin and have forgotten the offense it is to God. As a result we have mistaken the meaning of “innocence” as it relates to God’s holiness.

Below is the video of my attempt to address this broad topic in a single session. Yes, I realize I’m not Billy Graham or Adrian Rogers, and another setting might allow a fuller explanation with more scripture brought to bear on the subject. Still, my prayer is that this talk helps motivate each follower of Jesus in obedience to the Great Imperative, aka the Great Commission.
